A beautiful mare named Stormy is due to give birth any day now. This is not really big news until you factor in the thousands of people-mostly professional photographers- around the world following every detail via live cam. The mare's owner, renowned photographer Jodie Otte, has allowed the public full access to witness Stormy's labor and delivery. Colleagues from Perth, Australia to Ontario, Canada and of course, from every state in the US have been on #Stormywatch since last week.

The Stormy frenzy has brought strangers together on Facebook, with new friendships being formed almost every hour, all because of a horse.
