    California wildfires

    San Marcos Fire

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     jblaise89 told me, 'People were definitely caught off guard Thursday morning. There was hardly any smoke and the winds were calm. It seemed like total chaos as the flames grew and traveled so fast! I'm affected because I live right in the middle of all of these fires in southern Oceanside my hometown, and I am a mandatory disaster worker for the County of San Diego (occupation is Human Services Specialist) so we are also letting the public know about resources we have for evacuees and other people affected by the fires.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

video taken at Palomar Hospital in Escondido as 3 fires blaze up and over the hill headed east. Had to evacuate after smoke got too thick.
