    San Diego County Fires

I live in San Clemente, a town that borders the Northwest portion of Camp Pendleton. Yesterday morning at 11am-ish this plume came over the hill. The paddleboarder watching the helicoptors picking up the water (I did not take this photo) illustrates how chill beach life meets what looks and feels like a war. Strange, eerie picture. Needless to say, my town became extremely nervous as our hillsides are dry and full of tightly packed houses. Thankfully no structures burned. We can't thank of firefighters enough for putting their lives on the line. With all the dry grass and years of drought, it could have been a much different story. Its still not over yet. The last picture I included the sunset through the smoke. Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android
