view of Paris from the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur

The most memorable part of a trip can be that perfect view ... and the journey to the view. I highly recommend taking the subway with locals and walking through the streets of Paris to get to the Basilica. You'll pass gypsies trying to sell you a leather hand bag or jewelry and sweet smelling shops mixed with the aroma of espresso. You can try to pick out the "real" Parisians from the others by looking for those narrow black shoes and men wearing black skinny jeans. Then after climbing the huge hill at the Basilica and politely elbowing your way through to get a perfect spot to catch that perfect view you may realize your surrounded by people. There are people laughing, kissing, and preforming right on the hill. It's then you realize that the view of this perfectly beautiful city just gave you a perfectly authentic Paris experience too.
