Aftermath of the Cocos Fire - San Marcos, CA

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     QuintinBarry came back to his San Marcos, California, home on May 17, after he and his family evacuated because of wildfires earlier in the week. He says the fires got dangerously close to their home. 'In the video, you can see some of the fence burnt and some plants caught on fire in the front yard. A neighbor's Honda caught on fire, and firefighters smashed the fence to access our backyard in order to fight the fires,' he explained. 'It was crazy to see how close the flames got to the houses. If firefighters weren't there the houses would have suffered damage. They did a great job protecting all the structures in the area.'
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

San Marcos, CA - After being evacuated Wednesday afternoon, evacuation orders were lifted 6pm Saturday evening. We were allowed back into our neighborhood only to notice that our nighborhood was in the frontline of the cocos fire.
