I am a disabeled vet..I had spinal surgery in may of 2013..Three weeks later I was assaulted by a drunk witch caused spinal damage..I lost the use of my right arm because of the assault....I was in huge amounts of pain so I contacted VA pain management and was told I had to wait 6 months to get an appointment..I was in such pain that I could not function at all...I called everyone at VA includind the director at wade park hospital in Cleveland ohio...;I even called the crisis hot line...I had a friend who gave me some pain meds that he couldn't take because they upset his stomach...I finally got to my appointment in oct. and they found traces of my friends meds in me and said sorry We won't give you anything...They knew I was going to have aditional surgery and they had all these doctor reports of my nerve damage and yet they still refuse to manage my pain...It's too bad when they just throw vetrans away and let them fend for them selves..Because of my pain I"m unable to work and my quality of life is horrible...Don't know what to do so I figured I'd write you and share my VA experience...Cyril
