    Battling life after returning home

My son is battling to survive after returning home from Afghanistan. When he returned home after a year deployment we noticed within one day there was something wrong. We brought him to the emergency room and within ten minutes of exam he was diagnosed with colon cancer. While then going through chemo and radiation to finally to have surgery on the day he had his surgery his mother passed away. It is now 10 months since his surgery and the passing of his mother and if there is anyone that could use a salute it would be him. He is still active duty and has one more surgery scheduled. His name is Staff Sergeant Howard Miller III. He is now stationed at McDill air force base Tampa Florida. Even though he is home and out of a war zone he is battling the for his life on a daily basis
