This iReport is part of an assignment:
Salute to troops
Three generations later, our family still serves
Hello, my name is Derrick Davis. My wife and I have four children, two of which have carried on a Davis family tradition of serving our country. My Dad and a few Uncles served in the U.S Army in Korea. A few more Uncles served in the Army in Vietnam as well. Myself and three cousins served in the Army in Desert Storm. Our oldest daughter Staff Sergeant Tiffany Davis is a reservist in Eglin Air Base Florida. She has been deployed to Afghanistan and our oldest son Senior Airman Derrick Davis II was deployed to the South West Asian Theatre. All four our children grew up while I was in the Army and two of them caught the bug to serve and travel. I wish them both the best life can give and command them to continue to go far and do great!! I watch Robin Meade every morning at work and see the wonderful way our Military is given the recognition they so richly deserve.
