    Slide Wildfire torches the beautiful red rocks of Sedona


    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     APizm took these photos of what is being called the Slide Fire in Arizona on Wednesday, from the east side of Oak Creek Canyon near Sedona. "I could both see and hear the flames ripping through the beautiful pines that Fill Oak Creek Canyon," he said.

    The fire began Tuesday afternoon and has spread to 4,500 acres, according to the U.S. Forest Service. As of this morning, none of the blaze has been contained. Read more about Arizona's wildfire on CNN.

    In 24 hours the Slide Wildfire in Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon in Arizona has already torched 4,500 acres and has triggered evacuation orders for more then 3000 people. The beautiful red rocks of Sedona, a premier Arizona vacation destination is threaten by the wildfire. These images were taken on the East side of Oak Creek Canyon as the wildfire spread North and West.
