    Knowing Better The Use Of Construction Tools

     

    Construction tools work for different reasons. this is why they come in varieties as well. They vary in function, design, or size. All of these tools perform a unique and special function that no other tool can do best. It is import ant then for those who have construction plans to get to know how to use the tools involved in a certain building project.


    Among the many tools that you can find but you are still not familiar with is the Acrow Prop. It h as two steel tubes, an inner tube with a top plate and an outer tube with a base plate. It also h as a winding collar, and a small stout pin. The Acrow Prop works as a supportive instrument. Its inner tube slides up and down in the outer tube where the holes let you insert the pin to lock in the height you want. Extending its length is possible above the outer tube with the use of the collar as a nut on a bolt to support and carry the pin.


    What the Acrow Prop really does is that it supports work and holds the roof and other overhead structure while getting it replaced or repaired. This prop is available in different sizes. You can choose which size suit your needs for construction best as their sizes affect their function. Choose the right one so you will not compromise the project.


    The following is a list of the five different sizes of the Acrow Prop.


    a) No. 0 (1050 – 1830 mm/ 3.44 – 6 ft)
    b) No. 1 (1600 – 2800 mm/ 5.25 – 9.18 ft)
    c) No. 2 (1900 to 3400 mm/ 6.23 – 11.15 ft))
    d) No. 3 (2170 – 3975 mm/ 7.12 – 13.04 ft)
    e) No. 4 (3100 – 4900 mm/ 10.17 – 16.07 ft)

     

    It is necessary that you examine first the height or distance you need to prop when choosing among the sizes. Never use pole that is too short or long because cannot function well. Apart from the base to top distance, you should also look into the weight of the load that needs support. Often, supporting an overhead structure will require multiple props.     You can also check the base and head plates. The load is usually 150 mm x 150 mm. You can use a spreader beam or plate as additional support with timber needles or strongboys. It is the job of the professional builders to install. Do not do it yourself to avoid risking your own safety or the success of the project.
