Censorship in Thai Media After Coup d'etat

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Booky Bookin of Bangkok says that every channel on his TV currently shows this image, including when he tries to turn to CNN. "Everyone wants it to turn back to normal," he says. "People miss the Thai dramas. I don't like this situation, it is boring." Booky said military rule had reduced his sense of freedom. "If I need news, I go to foreign websites like CNN, BBC. In Thailand, every news is censored. I am very worried because this situation affects the freedom of the Thai people. Thailand is a democratic country, but the things that are happening right now are not democratic at all, so I hope this situation must get better soon."
    - wchan4, CNN iReport producer

After Thai army declared coup in last two days, all television channels in Thailand are forced to stop their original programs and run the army channel. CNN is one of the channels in Thailand which is forced to run the army channel.
