Porter Ranch Fire - Sesnon - 10.13.08
We live nearby and were concerned about having to evacuate. So we ventured closer to the fire to see if it was headed our way…the road was already closed, many people were already preparing to evacuate (we, too, had organized to do so if necessary). The winds pushed the flames and smoke away from our home, about 1/3 mile from where these photos and video were shot. News teams were on the scene, helicopters with water drops as well as news choppers overhead. Many people closer to the rim of the fire had piled their pets and belongings into cars and vans – some left – freeway was closed – only exit of the area allowed – no inbound
