Reflected in a small pool in front of the Royal Pavilion, this grand Moorish mishmash of a palace was somewhat of a folly for Prince George who had never been to Asia but was quite enamored with Orientalist aesthetics. In contrast to the Indian exterior, the interior of the pavilion is decked out with Chinese fantasy furniture and decorations. It is truly spectacular even if it is spectacularly unrealistic. Well worth a visit if you are ever in Southeast England.
