CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Hvward says despite all the disappointment surrounding the Camelopardalids meteor shower, he says he actually enjoyed staying out to watch for it from Craggy Gardens, North Carolina, on May 24. 'Honestly, it was very interesting to me! I didn't catch the two largest ones that I saw unfortunately, but the sky was beautiful with the Milky Way Galaxy in the background,' he said.
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

The debris field of 209P/LINEAR passed through Earth's atmosphere on the morning of May 24th, 2014. Picture's taken were from the Craggy Gardens Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina. The mountain in the background is Craggy Pinnacle (5,892 ft above sea level).
