    Soldiers arrest protestors in Chiangmai

The situation of an anti coup protest intensified as soldiers and polices arrested seven protestors in Chiangmai, Thailand yesterday (24/05/2014). Some of them were caught because they distributed the anti coup fliers, some were beaten by the officers because they shouted their protests at the authorities even though the protestors were reported to have been unarmed. All seven protestors are expected to be released after spending a period of seven days in jail.
