Thai military declares coup
The land of smiles and the city of eternal darkness
Bangkok one of the few cities in the world where people are hostile to democracy and indeed determined to beat it to death.
At last international media with the help of various methods are reporting the sins of the elites accurately. People are getting smarter, been there, done that. Angered by oppression they are finding their own ways to communicate truths to the outside world.
As for the UN, it's nothing more than a fragile, sterile organization that offers fairytales while the nightmares are never ending. The UN has changed, Suggestions do nothing, only actions speak to oppression. Rarely can one step so thoroughly into the pages of an ever growing nightmare, knowing the UN will do absolutely nothing is a good thing, thinking the UN will do something is a thing of dreams.
Peoples struggle against oppression in Thailand seems never ending. Although Thai's are amazingly resillient only outside intervention will help.
One very important fact, Bangkok is not at all indicative of Thailand. There is only one word to sum up what is representative of Thailand. 'OPPRESSION'.
Constant oppression is similar to a constant tsunami, it has washed away the colorful dreams of the people, removed iconic figureheads but only left the dirt in place.
Amongst this constant oppression and ugliness there is however great beauty but judging from decades of on the record oppression the only thing that seems sure is that people will be disappointed in the cruelest possible way imaginable, again.
With democracy seemingly unattainable all Thai's have left are dreams that sometimes become nightmares.
The land of smiles and the city of eternal darkness.
