Indian Kashmir--Young army-men volunteer sacrifice in a war within borders.

By Ketan Tirodkar ...... Major Mukund Varadrajan was a degree holder in journalism but wanted not just to report war, but to participate in it for India.
India is faced with a war inside its territories with the militants flooding from neighbouring Pakistan with the sympathies of locals in the valley of Kashmir.
44 Rashtriya Rifles Battalion closed in on a hideout of three militants in Shopian district of Indian Kashmir; the north eastern State touching border with Pakistan.
In the ensuing gunbattle two militants were killed, but the third one was aiming accurately from point-blank range and the battalion was finding it difficult to surge ahead.
Someone had to be in the radar of the militant for others to take aim. Major Mukund Varadrajan & Sepoy Bikram Singh did the task, took the bullets till they died & their colleagues took the desired aim killing the militant.
Mukund had celebrated his 31st birthday just 13 days before the brave act on 25th April 2014.
