    '60s family photos

    Neighborhood Beatles Show 1964

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Mora Pieti-Alcorn's father was a Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton when this photograph was taken. Alcorn was 11-years-old at the time. She says the 60s was a 'wonderful decade to grow up in.' She and her six other siblings all grew up during that era. 'We all grew up together during the 60s and were bonded by the music, fashion and the social changes the country was going through. Also, being a military family put a different spin on our look at society,' she said.

One of the many Beatles Shows we held in our neighborhood. This was the summer on 1964 in Oceanside CA. My sister, who was crazy shy managed to get the nerve to play John, front right. My youngest brother , in the back with the stripped shirt wasn't going to be left out. I was quite a bit older and remember this afternoon so fondly.
