I dropped half of my weight: nearly 200 lbs
I lost nearly 200 lbs and dropped a laundry list of health issues. I began my journey in Feb 2010 and lost the weight in 18 months. I have maintained my healthy weight for about two years now. I continue to learn about nutrition and active lifestyles on a constant basis. I also learned that with patience and effort, I have the potential to accomplish most any goal I set to mind. Day one was terrifying to me. I dreaded that I was headed for severe pain and humiliation. I was mortified at the thought of giving up all of my favorite meals. It was indeed rather difficult getting through the first few weeks. Lots of aches and pains, but not nearly as extreme as I had imagined. Within a few months, the results were so exhilarating, I found myself striving for more. This event has changed my life dramatically. I now have the strength, energy, and focus to work, play, and achieve more than I ever thought possible. I also practice a much healthier work/life balance.
