Lack of civism by the Madrid soccer fans after the European Champions League finals.

The city of Lisbon, Portugal, hosted on May 24 2014 the European Champions League Finals of soccer. The two finalists, Real Madrid and the Atletico de Madrid, both are from the city of Madrid making the rivalry even bigger. Real Madrid won the title for the 10th time, defeating the Atletico de Madrid by 4-1 goals, after a tense and exciting overtime.
The city of Lisbon, Portugal received approximate one hundred and twenty thousand fans and an extra twenty thousand cars in a city approximate a little over one million habitants. The "Benfica Stadium of Lights", with a total capacity for sixty thousand, left many without tickets watching on huge TV screens positioned in major squares by the city.
The city authorities tried handling such a rowdy crowd by separating the fans of each team in two different squares, approximate two mile apart, allowing them to celebrate the glory or to mourn their defeat. However, the Lisbon police had to intervene to contain the crowds. Only a few arrests were made and no injuries were reported.
The only sad thing is seeing how the “supposed civilized” people of Madrid left the two squares in such disarray, with so much garbage of beer, wine bottles and food thrown to the floor and fountains ( see the photo) with total disregard of civism and decent manners, acting like savages. Some even joked with remarks to the authorities, when asked to calm down. Of course it is understandable that the excitement and the funfare of the moment can be inebriating and cannot always be contained, still was a surprise for Lisbon to see such a show of disgrace. I wonder how the people of the great city of Madrid would react if others invaded their city and done the same thing?
