The wait at Fort Hood also

I've decided to not reenlist with the army and get out Honorably. When doing so, I requested my Medical Records in January. It's now May, and I haven't received any records yet. When processing out of Fort Hood, Perkins Dental Clinic has had a 2 month wait time. Since one only has a few days to rush and process out, I was not able to get my final dental exam or final physical. The wait time is not only in VA, it's active soldiers also. Til this day, I'm still waiting on my medical records. Not to mention, I can't even make it to file with VA until I get them. I've been out since April, and any vet can tell you, "In or out, medically, you're forgotten about". Good thing, i don't really need medical attention now, but I was entitled to many benefits, that i can't seem to get my hands on. My records seemed to have been burned with the trash. That's how the facilities treat soldiers. It doesn't matter if I've deployed 5 times. The people sitting behind the desks at these facilities DON'T CARE. We're nothing but a paycheck to them. So whether they fix this scandal, the next man in charge will cook the books so that he's not under the gun also. I love the people I met while active, but the way we are treated when we need treatment, is worst than a prison in Mexico. Guantanamo inmates are treated better. I'd bet my life on that.
