Police Annoyed by Accountability
After seeing a white police officer violently subdue a young black teen who was not even resisting, I pulled out my phone to record what was happening. The officers were not happy with me for recording them. The teens were found innocent of all charges. They had been hanging out in a white neighborhood on the Northshore of a wealthy Chicago suburb and someone had called the police. An officer arrived and slammed a young black man who looked to be about 14 against his car, twisting his arm behind his back very forcefully, even though the boy was not resisting at all. This prompted me to pull out my phone. After I left, the teens told me that the officers, called the kids, "little b****s."
