Two evenings of wholesome entertainment for Haiyan survivors
Ted Benito of PAE Live will host Rebuild Philippines! The L.A. Concert at The Greek Theater (Griffith Park 2700 N Vermont Ave., Los Angeles 90027) on Sunday, June 8, starting at 6 pm. Proceeds will assist the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan, said Benito. Among the performers will be Apl.de.Ap, will.i.am and Taboo (Black Eyed Peas).
On the other hand, President Thelma P. Calabio and the other officers and members of the Filipino American Press Club of California appeal to the goodness of everyone to extend whatever kindness and love and charity for our brothers and sisters in need by enjoying a June 1 evening of star-studded wholesome entertainment at the Celebrity Centre International (5930 Franklin Ave., Hollywood 90028). The Musical Gift of Love will showcase Florante, Julius Obregon, Malou Toler, Dessa, Gloria Papin, Mikaela Santos, Chenza Puno, Apple Band, Dr. Ner Azaula, Hydee Angeline, Ron Dante, Apt. 18, Evien Obracevic, Louise Marie Cornillez, Matthew Ignacio, Michael Quu, Bagyo & Mervin ML, Val Villar and Matthew Parry-Jones.
