A Unique Football Experience For Boys and Girls

The world is changing and so are we. Just recently a woman named Helena Cost was named coach of a team in France for the first time. Womens soccer is not unheard of but it doesn’t have the recognition it deserves. In the small country of Malaysia a company running soccer clubs all around the country and womens participation is compulsory.
The way it works is a club will be opened and it will be divided into 4 teams. Up till now only boys aged 9 and under and girls aged 10 and under can participate. They are given brand new jerseys and train and the four teams play a mini tournament between each other for 4 months. After that eight of the the best players are chosen and sent to a national cup similar to the world cup where they represent the country of their sponsors and compete against other clubs from different parts of the country, of all the players each team must have two girls in order for it to compete.
It’s a fun experience for the kids and it teaches them about professional football at a very young age while at the same time it is simply a fun thing to do.
This year this mini world cup will be on the 6th and 7th of june in Bangi. hopefully it will be a sucess and more of these clubs will be opened next year so that more kids will be able to join in the fun
