Laughing in the Face of Danger

This seemingly brave little egret appears to be scoffing at an alligator swimming up to the bank where she is fishing.
Turns outs, these guys actually like each others' company, as the egrets are protected from their predators when in the company of the feared reptiles, according to the experts in Murrells Inlet, SC.
The astonished onlookers, however, feared the beautiful white bird would soon be dinner and were relieved when the gator watched the Great Egret for a few moments, then merely floated off contentedly in the warm waters of the marsh.
