This iReport is part of an assignment:
    Tell us the Good Stuff!

    Hounds 4 Heroes Fort Stewart

My husband and I are stationed at Fort Stewart, GA and have met a woman who runs an amazing non-profit called Hounds 4 Heroes. This organization provides the training and service dogs for soldiers and their families at no cost to the recipient. A few of the things these service dogs help with are; PTSD, TBI, Autism, Diabetes, Seizure disorders and other physical disabilities. This organization relies solely on donations from the community to make these dogs available to every soldier and family member in need, the training for each of these dogs can cost anywhere between $10,000 and $20,000, which is completely covered by Hounds 4 Heroes. I would love to see this great organization get some well deserved media coverage to help spread awareness for their cause!
