Elegant French couple admire a Matisse
During a recent to visit to Paris, I spent an afternoon at one of the city's smaller museums, the Musee de l'Orangerie. The museum houses two significant collections, one is the magificent room-sized "Water Lillies" series by Monet, shown in-situ, as they were intended by the artist. The museum also showcases the Impressionist Walter-Guillaume collection, which was assembled by art dealer Paul Guillaume.
When visiting a museum, sometime the other visitors can be just as interesting as the works of art. Here is an elegant French gentlemen and his wife admiring the artwork. His style, his deliberate method of going from painting to painting and studying each, was all just very French.
The photo was taken with my Sony Handycam PJ-650V in May of 2014.
