    Wildlife photography

    Uganda Photo Safari

For decades after my first visit to Africa in the 1980s, I intended to go back to see the mountain gorillas. As I reached retirement age, and realized I hadn't done it - I cried for the missed chance Then I started trying to figure out how to still do it. In 2012, I spent 2 weeks in Uganda, which included an hour with the mountain gorillas. I photographed a monkey peeking at me in my shower, gorillas and chimps lounging in the jungle, mother elephants trying to hide their little ones, baboons (who completely ignored me!), a myriad of birds and more primates than I can remember names. It was the trip of a lifetime.
