    Heading to the water hole

On one of my trips to Zimbabwe, my guide, driver and I came across a herd of elephants heading to a water hole in the Hwange area of Zim. As I have never seen a group of elephants in a "v formation" before, like an excited photographer can sometimes do, I jumped out of our vehicle and ran in front of the elephants. Dumb! But I got the shot and quickly hopped back into our vehicle. This shot has to be one of my favorite elephant shots ever taken. Hope you enjoy it. More images are at travelswithstephen.com.
