    The best things about Poland

    My Dad's Castle

My father grew up in Lipowiec, a small village in Poland about 40 kilometers from Krakow. Thee village was at the foot of the ruins of a castle. As a child, my father played in the ruins. It was his favorite place. He always spoke of it to me and how it sat high on a hill in the forest. My father loved nature all of his life. When I visited the castle, I understood him in a way I had never before and I felt his presence.
