Line Dancing for Peace at Greensboro Community Festival
A group of local young people "broke into dance"on Saturday at a local community development event in Greensboro,NC designed to divert young people away from negative behaviors and into dance,
and positive self expression.
Some of the teenagers were onstage reading original poetry and were chosen by the originators of "The Poetry Project"- which is a group of Educators, Social Workers, and Grass Roots Initiators. This event also Showcases talented local young blacks, and echoes in their voices and poetry themes commom to other young Urban blacks. Booths at the event offered 'Safe Sex Education', if wanted, and other helpful information.
Free sodas, popcorn, and pizza were offered at this well attended "non-educational" educational event.
