My run in with the Bangkok political crisis
It's possible I chose to go to Thailand during the hottest point of their year due to the intriguing air fares. Little had I known I would be there during one of the more interesting political events in Thai History. It was May 12th and the Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, after much protesting had been removed from power. I was simply on the skytrain heading towards an infamous mall when I heard the roars of chanting, screaming, whistles and commotion. I was in the perfect location to watch it all unfold peacefully. This was just days before the martial law would be declared.
