    Obama: Is He a Citizen?

    A McCain supporter described Barack Obama as "non-citizen" and asked

    the media to look into his citizenship. Obama was born in Hawaii, a

    U.S. state, on August 4, 1961 and is indeed a U.S. citizen. McCain,

    however, was born in the Panama Canal Zone and has been the subject of

    constitutional debate around the definition of "natural born citizen."
