This iReport is part of an assignment:
Hail the President for bringing back Bowe Bergdahl
I commend the President Obama and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel for their quick and brave action to bring back Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl from Afghanistan. It is time to welcome Sgt. Bergdahl home and help him to reunite with his family. Also, special thanks to the US Administration for their efforts to negotiate a tough deal even though there were no good options available.
I salute the Commnad-in-Chief; long overdue mission accomplished, indeed.
In my opinion, it is time for unity and not for dirty politics to score points for the upcoming elections. Hold your thoughts and let the process take its course and wait for Sgt. Bergdahl statement before making any assumptions. I am disappointed by some politicians and soldiers who fail to acknowledge the heroic action by the Commander-in-Chief to end captivity of a soldier. I suggest that all soldiers must show proper respect to their fellow comrade by suspending their statements until the fact finding investigation begins. Otherwise, I am afraid people are being played by the certain organizations which will not waste any chance to discredit the present administration at any cost due to their own ulterior motives.
My fellow comrades think again as a soldier, do you really want any President to be your Commander in-Chief who hesitates for a single second to bring back any prisoners of wars.
Regrettably, any presidential candidates who are discrediting the Commander-in-Chief for securing the release of Sgt. Bergdahl have disqualified themselves in principal to be the future Commander-in-Chief.
