    The Splendid toadfish of Cozumel

The Splendid Toadfish is a species of toadfish that is completely endemic to Cozumel island in Mexico. This fish usually hides under the coral reef and many divers usually don’t see it unless a dive guide pointed out to them. Diving the beautiful waters of the Mexican Caribbean in Punta Tunish reef, I heard a sound coming from the tank of our dive guide he was actually trying to take my attention to come and see the toadfish. The fish was making noises it sound like a frog it was a unique and distinctive sound. Thank s to Alex our dive guide I was able to snap this shot of the famous splendid toadfish of Cozumel.
