Dear Hollywood Producers: Enough With The Super-Heroes!

It seems to me that there are nothing but Super-hero movies being made lately. Don't get me wrong. I'm not averse to an occassional Clark Kent sweeping Lois Lane off her feet type movie. It's a nice change. These days though, there doesn't seem to be much else offered though. From Thor to X-Men to Batman, it's what the movie theatres abound with and honestly what is driving me away.
There are so many other wonderful stories to be told. Written by incredible writers with amazing characters that drag you right into their tale from the very first word. I know this first hand. I read these books consistently on my multiple trips to the library. Unfortunately, I feel these bright film making possibilities are being overlooked and are being replaced by flashy special effects and characters which can be repackaged as action figures and video games.
This is why I started my facebook page, This book NEEDS to become a movie. We've all read these types of books I'm sure. We finish the last page, close the cover and think with a slight smile, Wow! This would make an incredible movie.
Now there's a page to share these books with others, hopefully if they are reading this with the film and theatre industry as well, to let them know the Super-heroes have had their day. It's time for some real literature to come to the big screen!
