Uluru- Kata Tjuta National Park, Australia

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     amookherjee visited Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park in Australia on a trip she took in 2011. She says the park is visually stunning, and feels spiritual because of its importanced to the indigenous population. 'Though the hike can be a little hard for beginners, it's very much worth it,' she said. Her advice is to visit during sunrise and sunset. 'It is extremely stunning at sunset when the rocks glow a deep, fiery red.'
    - Jareen, CNN iReport producer

This photo is of Kata Tjuta, the sister of Uluru, which is also known as Ayer's Rock. Though Ayer's Rock is more well known and iconic, Kata Tjuta sits 40 minutes away, and is made from the same type of rock. At sunset, which is when this photo was taken, the red becomes an alive and fiery color that no photo editing could ever replicate. Though this site sits in the Outback of Australia, it is a must see. There is a great hike that spans the area of Kata Tjuta, and unlike Uluru, is more accessible and respectable to climb on.
