Never Tell Your Dreams Before You Eat Breakfast...Or They Will Come True!

My mother's side of the family are Welsh, a very superstitious people indeed.  One superstitition I was raised with and still believe is that if you have a dream/nightmare and reveal the content of that dream/nightmare before you eat breakfast in the morning it will come true.  The root of this superstition may well be that when my great uncle, Dewey Starbuck, was nine years old in the early 1900's, he had a nightmare that he was killed on his bicycle delivering newspapers.  Per family legend, he revealed that nightmare to his family on the way out the door that morning without eatiing breakfast or before he ate breakfast...?  Sadly, he actually was struck and killed by a car on his bike at age 9 which impacted my grandfather and his parents quite negatively the rest of their lives.  To this day, I won't let my grown children or my spouse tell me their dreams/nightmares before they start shoveling a few bites of cereal in their mouths.
