    Living with a chronic illness

How I lost weight, found love and faced extreme adverisity while getting stronger and streonger!

I am a 57 year old woman with diabetes, a history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and about to drop dead of a heart attack. Also taking 200 of Kadian plus an additional 90 mg of MS. I was dying and drugged to death with major polypharmacy!

I should be dead but God has had mercy on me. I was always an active hard worker. I just kept doing the next right thing.

I was sent to a “good home” by an incompetent worker at Senior and Disabled Services, who sent me to a foster home with a serial sexual predator. As a woman who has TBI and PTSD, I have been raped before, what incompetence is this!

Then I moved to a new home without professional management, and they didi not have electricity in the kitchen and clearly do not intend to ever have it, and the cheap plastic blinds they installed fell on my head and broke on Friday when I was trying to close them.

What else, oh exactly the items I needed where never returned, such as my orange light bulb to reset my pituitary gland at night, and my boot disks to reset the computer because I got hacked either by the foster home or the bad guys during the Olympics and cannot get on the internet (writing this from library).

As a long time student of A Course in Miracles, and Buddhism, I know I am not the vitim of the World I see, I was addicted to being ill and a victim, but no more, and I believe I am Maya Angelou’s successor, she is my hero!

How did I do all this, my education was surberb!

I have a masters degree in Public Health (UTHSC, Houston, SPH 1989) and I am an Ericksonain Hypnotist by nature. Milton Erickson said polio was his master teacher, lupus was mine.

Also there is medical malpractice, Medicare fraud and denial of care by the major hospital in the area.

There is more but I do not want to digress.
