    Salute to troops

My brother, my son, & my nephews

My brother, SSG Jeff Keas, who was on Active duty, passed away July 5, 2013 while my son, now Lcpl Nicholas Smalling, was in boot camp at MCRD in San Diego. Lcpl Smalling is currently on a two year deployment to Okinawa, Japan with the 3rd Law Enforcement Battalion Bravo Co with the Marine Corps. My son got married while he was home on leave prior to receiving his orders to Japan. His wife wasn't able to go with him. My brother, SSG Jeff Keas, also has a son in the Marine Corps on active duty in Hawaii, Lcpl Mitchell Keas. My brother, SSG Jeff Keas, also has a son, Lcpl Jeffrey Keas, was in the Marine Corps and served in Iraq. Our cousin, Donald Hayes, was in the Air Force when he passed away March 10, 2012. I wanted to give them each a message:
To my brother, SSG Jeff Keas...I love you and miss you everyday. You'll never be forgotten.
To my son, Lcpl Nicholas Smalling:.....I love you and miss you son. I will see you soon! I am so proud of you!
To my nephew, Lcpl Mitchell Keas...I love you and miss you.
To my nephew, Lcpl Jeffrey Keas....I love you! Thank you for your service.
To my cousin: Donald Hayes....I love you and miss you everyday.
For SSG Jeff Keas, Lcpl Nicholas Smalling, Lcpl Mitchell Keas, Lcpl Jeffrey Keas, Donald Hayes, all Veterans, all Active Duty Military, and all of our fallen.....words can't describe how much you are respected and appreciated. Thank you, each and everyone of you for your sacrifices and your service. Godspeed.

    Mom, sister, aunt and cousin,
    Lori Smalling
