Snorkeling in Grand Cayman - Butterfly Fish and Mermaids

If you enjoy snorkeling or want to try snorkeling, my wife and I recommend Grand Cayman. There are many places where you can enter right off the beach and find a nice array of tropical fish swimming around. So if you don't want to hop on a snorkeling trip on a boat, Grand Cayman is excellent for beach snorkeling. Towards the north end of 7 Mile Beach is Cemetery Reef, named because it is located near an old cemetery right up off the beach. When you enter here, you only need to go out 5 yards or so and you'll see many types of fish, including the occasional lobster. 7 Mile Beach is excellent for kids as there is not much wave action. And Grand Cayman is beautiful as well with a fair amount of things to see and do.
