Gunman Holds Up Pharmacy
An unidentified gunman entered a CVS pharmacy in Lawreneburg, TN on Thursday afternoon. It is unclear if the gunman is in custody.
A police officer at the North Locust Avenue location stated that the gunman entered the building and "held up" the pharmacist inside. The officer said it is unclear if the gunman wanted money or medication from the pharmacist.
Authorities are still at the location, and a red SUV with a handicap tag hanging inside was towed from the curb outside the front door of the CVS. It is unclear if the vehicle belonged to the gunman.
According to WSMV the suspect is in custody after surrendering to authorites Thursday evening. Robert Chad Dillon was armed with a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol when he held a pharmacist hostage in CVS.
No one was harmed in the standoff between Dillon and police, WSMV said online. The conflict last more than an hour. Dillon demanded drugs from the pharmacist and is charged with attempted robbery. He could face other charges.
