    Camino De Santiago 2013

After I graduated high school I wanted to go on an adventure. For most normal high school seniors, this adventure would involve going to Senior Week at the nearest beach. For me I wanted to go to Europe. Alone. Specifically I wanted to go on the Camino De Santiago. The Camino de Santiago is an ancient pilgrimage trail to the Spanish city of Santiago de Compestela. The trail itself is 500 miles long from the starting point in St. Jean Pied de Port in the French Pyrenees. I planned out my adventure for six months, working long hours, and trained for the exhausting hike. I planned to find myself, explore my soul, and find out who I truly was. I did all of these. It was the greatest adventure of my life. However it wasn't just an adventure, it was a spiritual voyage. The Camino is extremely religious and spiritual. According to legend, it is the path of the Apostle St. James as he spread the Gospel through Spain. These are some of the pictures of my trip and my experience. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
