Louisville Greek Festival of Food, dance and music: Greek Immigrants enriching USA

The Illegal immigrant issue is making headlines. The fall of a Republican congressional giant, leader of the Republican majority Rep. Eric Cantor allegedly lost in the Republican primary his re-election bid for being soft on immigration path for illegal immigrants or at least not explaining his position with clarity. Every now and then we need to remind Americans that our country is made up of millions of legal immigrants who enrich our country in multiple ways and bring diversity of cuisines, music, cultures, dances etc. Every June, there is a Greek Festival for 3 days (Friday through Sunday) in the heartland of America in Louisville, KY at the river front in a place called Belvedere. This year is not very different. The lamb shank looks as appetizing as ever and the entire repertoire of distinct Greek desserts (shown in image 1) is also there with additional frozen desserts. Whats a Greek festivals without dance and Greek music. media 2 is a video of young dancers. Finally, if you have not had a lamb shank before, you will realize that most of it is bone and fat (image 2). So if you felt it was a bit pricey for the little bit of lamb meat, it is for a good cause, to keep the Greek orthodox church in Louisville. Cutting down your calorie intake is an advantage. It is great that one can experience quite a bit of Greece without having to travel to Greece for a Greek experience. Not have to go through security checks, your bag being opened by TSA, your body being scanned for explosives in your under wear. Need I go through it all. Not to mention the escalating travel costs. Thanks legal immigrants for bringing to America all the goodies from your motherland.
