Special Police Escort - Welcome Home Marine!

The Patriot Guard Riders along with local law enforcement from Michigan and Wisconsin gave a heroes welcome to a Marine coming home for the first time since leaving the hospital. Pictured is Corporal Randy Smith, his wife Gabrielle and his mother Sheila Smith.

The special afternoon for this soldier and his family started at the Iron Mountain, Michigan Home Depot. They thought it would be a few bikes riding with them home. When bike after bike arrived, you could see their smiles begin to grow. Then the Iron Mountain Police and Fire Department showed up along with the Dickinson County Sheriff Department to escort us through town for this hero..

As we left Dickinson County and Michigan, the emergency vehicles pulled off the highway. The Florence County Sheriff Dept and Fire Dept were waiting for our arrival too, they took the lead the rest of the trip. The ride through the city of Florence, WI was amazing as people were waving American flags..

This entire escort lights and sirens went for about 43 miles non stop thanks to emergency personal from 2 states! We made one quick stop in Tipler, Wisconsin were the best friend of this soldier was waiting in a fire truck. In the video, you'll see the truck.. What an amazing ride and escort for such an amazing hero!
