What about the Cherokee Indian reservation? Have you heard of the dragon where millions travel to test their skills by Motorcycle or sports car with all 300+ curves. What about table Rock, or the famous Cold Mountain? They are all in danger of being lost due to fracking. Thanks to the Governor. He knows that mountain people are so poor and the unemployment rate is so high he cut off the unemployment benefits then he knew he could push the Fracking and people would not fight because they need the jobs so bad to feed their families and pay bills. he knew what he was doing when he got into office.Check the one's who bank rolled him into office see the connection. Many have come to see our mountains and it's beauty for the last time, Would you want to come to a place where you can't even shower in your motel due to the toxins in the water. Oh one more thing the companies that Frack there do not have to list the chemicals they are using to frack with. Most back home don't know what it's like to live the city life we still leave our windows open at night have no need for car alarms, the highest building two stories high, everyone knows each other and the whole community turns out to help each other when there is a need. Most will not no what fracking will do to them until it is to late. cancer will increase, they will wonder why the fish is dying and the plant life we have there is suddenly no more. Ever heard of Yellow root? it grows along the creek banks many use it as a medicine and to dye hand made oak baskets. What about Ramps we eat them ever spring or Gensing it grows wild or the Venus fly trap Or native brown trout? Our town is so small the only big shopping center we have is a wal mart the only big grocery store is Ingles most local shops do not open on a sunday still to this day. remember the movies Nell and The Fugitive they were filmed in western North carolina Robinsville N.C. a stones throw from Topton.
