    In this edition: In New York, the Dow Jones lost 0.25%. In Paris, the CAC opens loosing 4 points; In Frankfurt, the DAX 30 falls back to 9930 points; In London, the FTSE 100 finished at +0.1 % this Wednesday; Finally, in Asia, the Tokyo Stock Exchange took +0.1 % this Thursday.

    In New York, the Dow Jones lost 0.25%. Nasdaq -0.28 %. The S&P 500 lost -0.11 %. Dow Transports exploded to finish at eight thousand seventy six (8076) points +0.75 %. On stocks, Allergan, the Botox leader, lost -5.3 %, despite the bid from Valeant Pharmaceuticals International at 49.9 billion dollars in cash and stocks. Vivus jumped +6 % on expectations of the consolidation of the capital of its main shareholder, Aspen Investment Fund. Lows for the 'biotech' companies with Vertex -2.25%, Intuitive Surgical -1.8% eBay -2.7%, Symantec -1.9%.

    At the Paris Stock Exchange, the CAC opened loosing 4 points at 4528 points due to the absence of many operators on this Ascension Day. The Paris stock index closed Wednesday on a new annual record at 4531.6 points. The publications of the unemployment rate, the home sales prospects, and, the US oil inventories are expected to be released today.

    In Frankfurt, the DAX 30 falls back to 9930 points on Thursday. Ascension Day is also a public holiday in Germany and Scandinavian stock markets are also closed. The market will also pay attention to the second estimate of U.S. GDP in the first quarter to be published at 2:30 pm.

    In London, the FTSE 100 finished at +0.1% at 6,851.22 points this Wednesday. Smith & Nephew has gained +4.3%. The London Stock Exchange gained +2.6 % after Credit Suisse bank added its reference to its list of preferred values aka "The Focus List". Royal Mail lost -2.7%.

    Finally, in Asia, the Tokyo Stock Exchange showed a nominal increase of +0.1% this Thursday right before end bell rings. The Hang Seng index at the Hong Kong Stock Exchange gained +0.1 %.
