    The government "war" on drugs village

     
    Albanian police operation in the village Lazarat known as the "Colombia of Europe". For 5 days village held surrounded by special forces. There are found hundreds of kilograms of cannabis, ammunition and sophisticated weapons. The police reported that was shot with guns and snipers. Firearms were injured three citizens.
    In this operation are engaged approximately 1,000 police officers. The Ministry of Interior is committed to establish control over the village of drugs.
    During these days the police but also the residents have burned hundreds of kilograms drugs. According to the data, the drugs produced in this village reaches the amount of 4-5 billion euros.
    The opposition accuses the government of terrorizing residents. But she supports the police operation.
    These days Albania expects to take a decision on the opening of negotiations for European Union integration.
