Tell us the Good Stuff!
Transformers Fan Experience with Hasbro design team
Bill Paukert, Product Design Manager for Hasbro and Ben Montano, Marketing Director for Transformers about creating the new Transformer toys in collaboration with the upcoming Transformers movie.
We found out during the interview and more during the panel that there was a greater collaboration between the producers of the film and Hasbro the creators of the toy than one might think, as there was much passing of conceptual art of how the new Transformers should look on film and as toys. They were very adamant not only about how they look but how they function and move, although some modifications had to be made for safety reasons such as having Grimlock not actually spurting fire. Their personnel favorites included the Dinobots and Optimus Prime.
During the first Transformers Fan Experience, fans were able to hear a panel about Transformers 30th Anniversary Celebration with Dinobots with the new inductees to the Transformers Hall of Fame, Western Star Movie Optimus Prime Truck and Movie Weapon from “Transformers: Age of Extinction“, photos opps with Transformers characters, sketch artists and collectibles, plus a music performance by Transformers Hall of Fame inductee Stan Bush featuring the song “The Touch” from “The Transformers: The Movie“.
This is part 2 of our 3 part coverage on the Transformers. Our part 1 is an interview with Isaac C. Singleton, Jr., the voice actor for Soundwave, from the “Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark” video game that will be released next week. Our 3rd part will be our review of the movie "Transformers: Age of Extinction"
