WORLD CUP 2014 Song with Kitchen Instruments (Dan Newbie)

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Dan Newbie used cooking pots, frying pans, wine glasses, beer bottles filled with water, a plastic water bottle and rice to play “Mas Que Nada” and “Aquarela do Brasil,” in celebration of the 2014 World Cup, which is being held in Brazil. The songs are two iconic Brazilian tunes that reflect the energy and rhythm of Brazil.

Newbie, who is a student from Conway, Arkansas, said, "My favorite thing about the World Cup is how, every 4 years, for 30 days, we're all able to put our differences aside including politics, to celebrate the things we have in common and the things we love: happiness and a great sport."
